WHY IN THE WORLD SHOULD I GO TO CHURCH
Well, that’s a good question, especially here at start of a new year, when we are making plans for2009.
Most of us have always rightly been told that we should go to church. Some people even mistakenly say that someone “started going to church” instead of “was saved”. Understand that going to church doesn’t save from their sins, but it can be a wonderful help to anyone.
Are some churches better than others?
Yep, strive for the best!
Are some of them perfect?
Nope, so stop looking for a perfect one!
What are some of the advantages of regularly going to church?
Making great, new friends.
Finding spiritual encouragement though others’ experiences.
Hearing God’s Word preached and taught.
Realizing opportunities for service to others here and abroad.
Getting help with raising your children as Christians.
Learning more about the Bible.
Showing the world which side you’re on.
Being encouraged to be saved and/or grow in the faith.
Getting discipleship training in the Christian lifestyle.
These thing are extremely important for people who try to live like Jesus wants them to. For others, I don’t suppose they particularly crucial. Be assured, however, that sinful influences are out to impact us and our families. It is essential that parents do everything they can to protect their children from evil. Church can help.
Thanks so much to all you determined, faithful people who consistently come to Sunday worship service at Griffin’s Chapel, not to mention Sunday School, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening meeting. You are doing more good than you know!
Keep up the good work!
